Roy L. Turpin is an American Fine Art Photographer and a Georgian native. His early years as an artist consisted of illustration and painting compositions, though he eventually followed his calling to photography. Beginning as a Black & White film photographer over two decades ago, he eventually made a switch to the digital medium. Remaining primarily a Black & White photographer, he will employ the use of color if the piece demands. His works are often abstract, consisting of isolating human forms, architectural scenes, objects or patterns often overlooked in day-to-day life. These observations, presented in an abstract way, give the subject new life to be interpreted may different ways. With knowledge and respect for the history of art and photography, Roy hopes to go into the future while always paying homage to the photographic masters of the past.
